Kinga

Thirteen years ago, on my father’s large property in Mexico City’s Iztapalapa, my life changed forever when I met a remarkable black Labrador Retriever named Kinga. She isn’t just any dog; she is my service heart alert dog and has become my lifeline.
I can’t believe how fortunate I am to have her still.

Suffering from heart issues has been challenging for me, and Kinga has become my guardian angel, always by my side, watching over me with unconditional loyalty. Her keen senses and training allow her to detect impending health issues before I even realize something is wrong.
Time has passed, and Kinga’s once-jet-black fur has started to glisten with traces of silver, a testament to the wisdom she has gained over the years. Yet, her spirit remains strong, and our bond grows deeper with every passing day. Kinga’s presence brings comfort and assurance to my life, knowing that she is always there to alert me and keep me safe.
As the years went by, I made the difficult decision to sell my father’s large property, and we moved to Henderson, Nevada, along with Kinga’s big sister, Daisy. Daisy, a beautiful Yellow labrador retriever, who was abandoned on my father’s property, found her forever home with us. Together, Kinga and Daisy formed an unbreakable bond, their love and companionship radiating through every step of our journey.
In the calm streets of Henderson, near the foothills, our little family flourished. The community welcomed us with open arms, and we found solace in the tranquil surroundings. Kinga and Daisy adapted to their new environment, exploring the nearby parks, basking in the desert sun, and embracing the adventures that awaited us.
While the backdrop had changed, the unwavering devotion of Kinga and Daisy remained constant. Kinga continued to be my steadfast service heart alert dog, watching over me and providing the same unwavering support she always had. Daisy, with her playful spirit, brought joy and warmth to our lives, reminding us that love has a way of finding its way into the most unexpected places.
In 2018, Daisy’s health began to decline. She lost her hearing and then her sight, almost overnight. It was a heartbreaking realization that her time on Earth was limited. Daisy started experiencing seizures, and after much consideration, I made the difficult decision to help her pass peacefully, with me by her side. Kinga was there to give me comfort and to say goodbye to her big sister.
Losing Daisy was a profound loss, and it left a void in our lives. However, Kinga’s unwavering presence and love helped me navigate through the grief. We leaned on each other for support and found solace in the beautiful memories we shared with Daisy.
After Daisy’s death, Kinga and I decided to start a new chapter in Puerto Vallarta, seeking a fresh start and healing. The sun-drenched beaches, vibrant culture, and tranquil atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for our journey of renewal.
In Puerto Vallarta, Kinga continued to be my steadfast companion, offering unwavering support and love. Together, we explored the winding streets, embraced the beauty of the ocean, and created new memories. Kinga’s presence was a constant reminder of the unbreakable bond we shared and the resilience of the human spirit.
The community in Puerto Vallarta welcomed us with open arms, captivated by Kinga’s remarkable abilities and touched by our story. We found solace and support in the kindness of strangers who became friends, forming connections that enriched our lives in ways we never expected.
I dread the day when Kinga will leave me. I don’t dare imagine it.
I hope she still has a few more years to live. She can no longer walk as steadfast and strong. So I will have to get her a buggy that I can use to take her out for walks when it’s cool outside. I feel like we could have done so much more together.
Time does not forgive it’s waste.
